the gifted children - the recollector, volume 02

Release date: December 4, 2020

our look back through 25 years of the gifted children continues with the second installment of the recollector series. this 8-song EP collects tracks that appeared across two film soundtracks, two compilations, an online commercial, and a split single, originally released between 2002-2014.

most of these songs haven't been publicly available in any format for years, and none have ever appeared on past releases by the gifted children, so this is the only viable place to get them.

01           how boring… [summer end version] (suszczynski)

i've worn you out - i know
and if i could just lay to rest
and make a funeral pyre
of all the things that make you cry
and all the things that try
then i would be uptight
and you would just grow sadder still -
please know you will.

02           starfish life (suszczynski)

your starfish life, waiting for a new beginning
do you really think your prayers and pages amount to anything at all?
when the walk into walls loses its charm what will you do?

so hard to get used to a life that no longer holds all the answers
so hard to get used to a life in which you no longer believe

watch it all go.
